This one, like most of my dishcloths are done in US size 6 needles.
CO 50 sts. 3 garter stitch border on each side, with a 1 stitch stockinette border on each side (only during the "holey" stitch design).
I guess the design would look more like.

K3, purl to last 3, K3
K4, *skp, yo, repeat * to last 4 sts., K4
K3, purl to last 3, K3

K4, *skp, yo, repeat * to last 4 sts., K4
